| Not in the loop or in macapps: Macheist is on! Apps in the current free bundle include Shovebox, WriteRoom (I'm thinking of you here, maladaptive/ damselfish!), Twitterrific, TinyGrab, Hordes of Orcs (omg this one is far too much fun for me, I am such a dork), and if it gets unlocked, Mariner Write. | Checked into my flight for Alaska Airlines today and ended up with a burning curiosity as to the ways and means of determining baggage fees: The following items are exempt from baggage fees. If you are checking:
- carseats and/or strollers - assistive devices (e.g., wheelchair) - one box of wine when departing Santa Rosa, CA - or if you are U.S. Military traveling on orders; This post on DW currently has comments, and you can reply there, too! | |

| So, this weekend slowsculpture and I are going to go be nauseatingly affectionate in San Diego. We are thinking about going to Sea World or the zoo and doing snorkeling and bopping about on beaches. saeculorum has already given us some pointers on places to eat, but does anybody else have any particular recommends? | The picture below is of a juicer, folks. A juicer. And it isn't even mine. It was in the kitchen drawers when I first moved in with bucko. ( JUICER )This post on DW currently has comments, and you can reply there, too! | |

| Marshmallows dipped into peppermint tea are pretty good. Peppermint tea that has had marshmallows dipped into it is a bit dusty tasting, but edible. This post on DW currently has comments, and you can reply there, too! | |

| Ann and I are now the proud holders of the apartment on Madison. We felt good about them overall, both the manager on site and the lady in the property management office, and get keys on the 8th. ( This means it is LIST TIME. )This post on DW currently has comments, and you can reply there, too! | |

| Dear lazyweb: I need to choose between two apartments as a process of bucko's and my moving up in the world when our lease is up in September. They are both two bedroom, two bathrooms with washer and dryer. Both are accessible to our work areas (Downtown, Capitol Hill, U-District) by bus or walking, both have high walk scores. Both will take my kitty, Mr. Darcy. Approximate locations on the map can be found here. Both have one month free rent, and we'd want to pay half a month to hold them and have moving time during September. Approximately the same rent (around $1300), although different tangential costs--my guess is the Terrance Apartments might be cheaper overall if I can hold him to the tandem parking spot for $50 instead of $100 like the ad said. We are ready to commit to a place like this for a full year instead of our late six monthers, because they seem nice. The balance of pros and cons between the two makes it very hard to decide, and I need to decide and get on the ball fast. ( Madison Apartments )( Terrance Apartments )In other news, I am kind of sort of considering getting an actual real live grown up bed for this move. I bet I could keep the loftbed over it. JUST IN CASE. Or when I need to feel cloistered. This post on DW currently has comments, and you can reply there, too! | |
